This is really more of Jia Rong & Ying’s post-wedding session. I took off for Bali right after their wedding as I wanted to be there earlier to do some location scouting. The iconic Hanging Gardens Of Bali smacked in the middle of a cliff-side rain forest was the base of operations for the next 2 days or so. After a day of scouting for a place to shoot in Ubud, and as it turns out, the most beautiful places were in within the resort grounds.
The weather wasn’t exactly very favourable to us. It rained the night before the shoot and it continued to rain throughout the shoot only for the sun to peek out from the rain clouds towards the end. We all know how unfavourable circumstances presents opportunities in a different way, sometimes in ways we never imagined. The rain brought it the fog and with that, we got an almost dreamy, surreal atmosphere. Definitely wasn’t something we could anticipate, but it turns out, the rain was probably the best thing that happened.
